Okjen Farm started the breeding program with the Dutch imported mare Okjen

(Mark X Fokke) This mare produced our stallion Gries Tjeerd by Oege Pref.

Okjen sadly died giving birth to Gries Tjeerd.

Our second mare imported was Alida Ster, (Hearke X IJsbrand). Alida was bred to Gries Tjeerd and gave us the mare Wemmeke.

Alida also gave us the mare Zempa by the stallion Melle.

Alida died in 2005 at the age of 25 years. She produced 14 foals of which 4 colts and 10 fillies, 2 star mares, one appointed stallion for the performance test and 1 approved grandson.

Wemmeke produced 5 foals and 4 fillies. Three of the fillies received 1st premie, one a 2nd premie and her colt was never presented. Her best foal was the 2007 filly Ypke by Diemer Ypke will stay at our farm as the next generation brood mare.

Wemmeke had her 2009 foal a filly by Diemer. She will be bred back to Tinus in 2010

Zempa had her first foal the filly Anky by Tinus. Anky received a 1st premie and was WA & OR Champion She was sold to Germany.

Zempa received a 2nd premie and became star in 2009.

Zempa was presented at the 2009 for her Star test. and past.

Zempa is trained 1st level dressage and will now go back to being a mom. She is in foal to Tinus for a 2011 foal.

Her 2008 foal Anky by Tinus was a 1st premie filly and Site Champion. Anky was sold to Germany but will stay at our farm still she can be presented for Star mare.

2011 Zempa had a colt by Tinus and he also will stay at the farm as stallion/dressage prospect.

She is bred back to Tinus for 2012 this foal will be available sale.

Anky has started with her training and will go under saddle in the spring of 2012 she needed an extra year to mature.

She is a modern type Friesian , she is an powerful, playful,forward moving mare .

Gries Tjeerd Licensed for breeding 1987 through 1989 with FHANA.

Wemmeke was presented in 1992 and in 1993 both years she received a second premie.

She is trained 1 level dressage before she became a broodmare.

Colt by Uko sold as dressage horse.(Not presented).

1st premie Fillie , Site Champion and National Champion By Diemer.

2nd premie filly by Diemer.

Wemmke is now retired from all duties.

Espri is Silver Medal winner ,and a overall score of 7.5 with the Friesian Cross Bred Registry.

1st level dressage and will continue on in her dressage training..

He forward and quick to learn temperament makes her a wonderfully upper level horse. Her sire Uko is training 4th level and working on his Piaffe and Flying changes.

Espri impressed us so much last year that we decided to breed her to Rubigon

Espre had a colt by the name Renkum, this colt will stay on the farm for my dressage prospect..
