Uko received a 2nd premie with 8’s on his trot and canter. Uko has well balanced gaits and a beautiful, natural extended trot. He is a well mannered, gentle stallion. Uko is out of the best Friesian performance bloodlines.

Uko is training at 3rd level dressage and will begin competing in the Northwest.

2007 FBHR mare Asia received the gold medal and became the site Champion.

The 3 year old daughter Espri received the silver. A 2007 colt received a silver, and a filly received the bronze.

 

Uko’s sire, Melle was Reserve Champion in 1992-1995 and Dutch Grand Champion in 1996. Within two years of Melle’s approval he competed at the highest level of dressage that a Friesian stallion has achieved. Melle has bred more than 150 mares in a year. He has one approved son in Holland.

Melle’s sire, Frans was shown in open dressage competition here in the U.S. Melle’s grandsire, Lammert, has achieved multiple titles as Grand Champion and was the first Friesian to show at the highest level of dressage.Lammert produced 5 approved sons and has a high percentage of Star and Model mares.These Lammert daughters have produced 8 approved stallions.

Uko’s dam, Alida (Star Preferent), is out of a stallion producing line. Alida’s lineage is also known for fertility. Alida alone, has produced 14 foals, 3 colts and 10 fillies. Out of the 14 foals, one star mare, three 1st premies, seven 2nd premies, and one 3rd premie. Her granddaughter was the high scoring foal at the 1999 Friesian Inspection. Her foals have proven themselves in competition in dressage and driving.

Alida’s sire, Hearke (Preferent), was Dutch Grand Champion Stallion 1984-1985 and a 12 time Dutch National Champion in harness. He produced 9 approved sons, 13 approved grandsons, and 2 great grandsons. Hearke is the nineteenth stallion to receive preferent since 1987.

Hearke’s sire, Mark (Preferent), was Dutch National Champion 1969-1970 and Reserve Champion in 1971-1975. He has 12 approved sons and four generations of approved stallions. One of his sons, Jorrit, is one of the top dressage Friesians in the world and is now competing at Prix St. George in open competition.
