Our Mares
Okjen Farm started the breeding program with the Dutch imported mare Okjen
(Mark X Fokke) This mare produced our stallion Gries Tjeerd by Oege Pref.
Okjen sadly died giving birth to Gries Tjeerd.
Our second mare imported was Alida Ster, (Hearke X IJsbrand). Alida was bred to Gries Tjeerd and gave us the mare Wemmeke.
Alida also gave us the mare Zempa the stallion Uko , by Melle and Diemer by Tinus.
Alida died in 2005 at the age of 25 years. She produced 14 foals of which 4 colts and 10 fillies, 3 star mares, one appointed Star stallion for the performance test and 1 approved grandson.
Wemmeke out of Alida , produced 5 foals , 4 fillies and 1 colt. Three of the fillies received 1st premie, one a 2nd premie and her colt was never presented. Her best foal was the 2007 filly Ypke by Diemer Ypke will stay at our farm as the next generation brood mare.
Wemmeke had her 2009 foal a filly by Diemer this was her last foal.Wemmeke is now retired at the farm.Wemmeke past away at the age of 23.
Zempa out of Alida, received a 2nd premie and became star in 2009. Her first foal is the mare Anky by Tinus. Anky received a 1st premie and was WA & OR Champion She was sold to a Germany owner. She will remain at our farm.
Her second foal is Jillis a colt by Tinus. He will be presented at the age of 3yr old. Jillis was sold here in Wa .
Her third fol is Maurits a colt by Tinus. He will remain at our farm as a stallion prospect.
Over the years we have bred our mares with the Proud Meadow stallions . After Jim Mosbrook past away Tinus Pm came to our farm and now Tjerk PM. To complete the bloodlines from Proud Meadow we now have the mare Dior von Jorrit PM. She is by the stallion Jorrit PM and out of a Tinus PM daughter. Combining these bloodlines have produced many top quality Friesians excelling in dressage .

Ypke, foaled 2007, 15.3 hh, she received in 2007
a 1st premie , North West Champion and National Champion. Scoring 8 on walk, 8 on trot, 8 on canter 8 overall conformation ,quality breed and type
2015 received a 2nd premie just mist her 1st premie by a tenth of a point. Received her star status.
She is a forward well balanced mare with a good work ethic and willingness to please. She is an intelligent horse,easy to train. . Ypke is training 2st level dressage and hope to complete her star performance test as well as starting the piaffe, passage and Spanish walk.
In 2019 she produced a colt by the stallion Hessel 480 Sport
Liewe.
In 2021 she had a Warlander filly by our stallion Lagartijo.

Arpa was trained under saddle in Spain in a sold 1st level dressage

Arpa has three very strong gaits and has a golden temperament We are looking forward to have some foal out of her .
Arpa is back in training in the classical dressage.

Unica is born 2017 in Andalusia Spain, she is by the Callificado and Reproductor Recomedado stallion Belmonte XXVII, Belmonte XXVII this striking grey stallion stands at 1.68m He is Champion in class 8 and 4th place overall at SICAB He was a 3 times winner with ANCCE in Classical Dressage Competition and European reserve Champion in Avila section 10.
Belmonte XXVII is by the stallion Devo Ram II, standing at 1.70 m His sire is the most decoratewd stallion Educado X
Unica ,s dam sire is the Calificado Entorchao by ViboroIII
Unica was presented in 2020 to the ANCCE for APTO Reproductor
She receved outstanding scores on quality conformation ,breed type and quality in all tree gaits. She is a powerful mover with good scope.

Unica had her first filly iby Lagartijo in 2022. She will be bred back to Lagartijo in 2023.

Calla is from one of the top ranking Dutch Warmblood mare lines in The Netherlands. Her dam Ixia, is an elite, Prest mare imported by the highly recognized KWPN breeder Barbara Funk of Dove Creek Farm in Wa state. Calla is a result of Barbara,s breeding program . She received the prestigious KWPN Breeder of the year award in 2010.
Calla,s Sire Satano is the son of the legendary Sandro Hit.
The widely acclaimed Irons Spring farm stallion ,Roemer Pref is Calla,s Grandsire.
Calla had , two fillies by Gaudi and a 2023, filly by Kayman.
Her foals are intelligent foals with good movement and kind willing temperaments. They make excellent dressage prospects for any rider.

Growing up in the Netherlands i was instructed as a child on the New Forest Ponies and graduated on the Dutch KWPN warmbloods. As most students in Europe you are instructed in Dressage and in Jumping.

I was fortunate enough to have growing up with some of the top dressage and jumpers you see now in most KWPN pedigrees in 3rd and 4th generation, these horses have made a very large impact on the KWPN breeding, first as mainly jumpers and later as dressage horses.From the knowledge i use in our current breeding program. Focusing on good conformation but most of all sound trainable and good temperament horses for the mature and profesional rider .

Katruus is a ster ,PROK ,Prov Keur mare ,. She received a 1st Premie as a filly in 2015 and Champion of North America Harness mare in 2017 and 2018.
. Katruus was purchased from Iron Spring farm in 2021 to join our breeding program
. She had two premie fillies by Sir Sinclair ,a 2022 filly by Florianus II of Iron Spring farm.
Katruus is bred to Cum Laude of Iron Springs Farm for 2023 foal.

Sugar is out of a Weltmeyer mare Welkene and sired by the Dutch import Soprano. At her foal inspection Sugar was site Champion scoring 8.6 in movement. She ended the year being tied for Reserve Champion foal for the entire nation. At age 3yrs she was started under saddle
She had one foal that is now doing well under saddle. Sugar will will be bred to the stallion Finnigan for a 2024 foal.

An elegant long legged type with a lot of expression, Giselle has wonderful natural rhythm and scope for her gaits. She was confirmed to third level dressage. She is erkend with the Dutch KWPN studbook and has produced in 2023 a wonderful filly by the KWPN stallion Kayman. Giselle is bred back to Kayman for a 2024 foal.
Her PRE sire Edican III (Campero VII X Deco) combining the blood of most prestigious stud farms of the PRE breed. Edecan III is noted for his good brain,size and solid foundation for sport His gaits are ground covering with good power and scope, with an especially noteworthy trot .Edecon III offspring are considered to have a high capacity for dressage and are natabily succesful in the young horse classes in Spain
