Our Mares
Okjen Farm started the breeding program with the Dutch imported mare Okjen
(Mark X Fokke) This mare produced our stallion Gries Tjeerd by Oege Pref.
Okjen sadly died giving birth to Gries Tjeerd.
Our second mare imported was Alida Ster, (Hearke X IJsbrand). Alida was bred to Gries Tjeerd and gave us the mare Wemmeke.
Alida also gave us the mare Zempa the stallion Uko , by Melle and Diemer by Tinus.
Alida died in 2005 at the age of 25 years. She produced 14 foals of which 4 colts and 10 fillies, 3 star mares, one appointed Star stallion for the performance test and 1 approved grandson.
Wemmeke out of Alida , produced 5 foals , 4 fillies and 1 colt. Three of the fillies received 1st premie, one a 2nd premie and her colt was never presented. Her best foal was the 2007 filly Ypke by Diemer Ypke will stay at our farm as the next generation brood mare.
Wemmeke had her 2009 foal a filly by Diemer this was her last foal.Wemmeke is now retired at the farm.Wemmeke past away at the age of 23.
Zempa out of Alida, received a 2nd premie and became star in 2009. Her first foal is the mare Anky by Tinus. Anky received a 1st premie and was WA & OR Champion She was sold to a Germany owner. She will remain at our farm.
Her second foal is Jillis a colt by Tinus. He will be presented at the age of 3yr old. Jillis was sold here in Wa .
Her third fol is Maurits a colt by Tinus. He will remain at our farm as a stallion prospect.
Over the years we have bred our mares with the Proud Meadow stallions . After Jim Mosbrook past away Tinus Pm came to our farm and now Tjerk PM. To complete the bloodlines from Proud Meadow we now have the mare Dior von Jorrit PM. She is by the stallion Jorrit PM and out of a Tinus PM daughter. Combining these bloodlines have produced many top quality Friesians excelling in dressage .

Ypke, foaled 2007, 15.3 hh, she received in 2007
a 1st premie , North West Champion and National Champion. Scoring 8 on walk, 8 on trot, 8 on canter 8 overall conformation ,quality breed and type
2015 received a 2nd premie just mist her 1st premie by a tenth of a point. Received her star status.
She is a forward well balanced mare with a good work ethic and willingness to please. She is an intelligent horse,easy to train. . Ypke is training 2st level dressage and hope to complete her star performance test as well as starting the piaffe, passage and Spanish walk.
In 2019 she produced a colt by the stallion Hessel 480 Sport
Liewe.
In 2021 she had a Warlander filly by our stallion Lagartijo.

Imported in 2016 from Andalusia Spain She has been Approved in Spain APTA Como Reproductora.
Arpa was trained under saddle in Spain in a sold 1st level dressage
.
Arpa has three very strong gaits and has a golden temperament We are looking forward to have some foal out of her .
Arpa is back in training in the classical dressage.
PRE mare UNICA CLIX
Unica is born 2017 in Andalusia Spain, she is by the Callificado and Reproductor Recomedado stallion Belmonte XXVII, Belmonte XXVII this striking grey stallion stands at 1.68m He is Champion in class 8 and 4th place overall at SICAB He was a 3 times winner with ANCCE in Classical Dressage Competition and European reserve Champion in Avila section 10.
Belmonte XXVII is by the stallion Devo Ram II, standing at 1.70 m His sire is the most decoratewd stallion Educado X
Unica ,s dam sire is the Calificado Entorchao by ViboroIII
Unica was presented in 2020 to the ANCCE for APTO Reproductor
She received outstanding scores on quality conformation ,breed type and quality in all tree gaits. She is a powerful mover with good scope.

Pradera is by our PRE stallion Lagartio LIV and out of our PRE mare Unica CLIX.
This wonderful filly is a combination of the classic PRE on the sire side and the more modern lines of the PRE in the dam,
She has the classis high knee action with a quick hind quarters and beautiful balanced canter., In her early moves we can see the little bull fighter in her.
Pradera will stay at our farm for further broad mare to continue the development of the classic PRE
