UKO
Uko is a well balanced stallion with beautiful fluid and swinging gaits He is gentle, eager to learn and has an incredible work ethic. His focus and trust in the rider makes him a exceptional dressage horse.
He is out of the best Friesian performance bloodlines.
Uko is currently training 3rd level dressage and learning the piaffe and passage.
His sire, Melle was Reserve Dutch Champion in 1992-1995 and Dutch Grand Champion in 1996. Within two years after Melle's approval he competed at the highest level in dressage and breeding 150 mares a year.
Melle produced 1 approved son Fabe 348 and many top dressage horses all over the world. Melle received the predicate Sport in 2008.
Frans was exported to the US at a young age and was shown in the upper levels dressage here in the US.
Lammert, Preferent a Dutch Grand Champion himself, was the first Friesian stallion to show at the highest level dressage in Holland. Lammert produced 5 approved sons and has a high percentage of Star and Model mares. These daughters have produced 8 approved sons.
Uko's dam Alida Star is out of a stallion producing line.
Alida's sire, Hearke Pref was Dutch Grand Champion stallion 1984-1985 and a 12 time Dutch National Champion in harness. He has 9 approved sons and 13 approved grandsons. Hearke was the nineteenth stallion to receive the Preferent status since 1987.
Alida herself has produced 14 foals for our farm, 4 colts and 10 fillies. 85% of her foals where 1st and 2nd premie. 2 star mares, 1 son sent for the stallion performance test and 1 approved grandson.
